Goran Bregovic brings orchestra to Sofia club in February

World famous Sarajevo-born musician and composer Goran Bregovic will bring his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra to stage a two-hour concert in Sofia’s Nai Club on February 27 2008.

It would be Bregovic’s first concert in a club in Bulgaria, avtora.com said. He has already staged four spectacular concerts in the country, the last one in 2003.

Bregovic biggest inspiration is Balkan music. In his own words, he mixes the sound of gypsy brass bands, traditional Bulgarian polyphonies, electric guitar, traditional percussion with a curious rock accent, string orchestra and a male choir.

What makes Bregovic; world famous is the scores he wrote for films like Time of the Gypsies, Queen Margot, Underground and Arizona Dream.
