The restoration of Boyana Church is going to be completed till the end of the year. Boyana Church is one of the 10th Bulgarian memorials, included in the world cultural heritage list of UNESCO.
The first sod of the church was made in the 10th century; Three centuries later it was expanded and richly decorated.
The frescos date back to the year of 1259, 240 of them considered predecessors of Renaissance.
The last rebuilding of the church is made in the 19th century.
150 000 leva is needed for the church reconstruction. So far two thirds of that sum has already been collected by donators. Lots of construction companies, banks, mobile operators, and Bulgarians have financially supported the initiative.
