Ramazzotti Excites Bulgarian Fans with Two- Hour Show
Italian pop singer Eros Ramazzotti performed in front of thousands of excited fans at the Lokomotiv stadium in Sofia.
The multimedia show on July 3 lasted for over two hours, Darik Radio reported.
Ramazzotti performed both songs from his latest album and some of his old hits. He sang without a break through the entire show, which is unprecedented for a concert of such length, Darik said.
At the beginning of the show the singer greeted the audience in Bulgarian. He wore a black T-shirt with the Bulgarian flag and the words 'Thank you, Sofia' written on the back. Ramazzotti preserved close contact with the public and several times went down from the stage to join the audience, Darik said.
Ramazzotti had to cancel his meeting with Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev scheduled for the early afternoon because of a cold he caught the previous day. The two met after the concert. Ramazzotti received 16 'chans', a kind of bells used traditionally in the Rhodoppe Mountain region.
